I have worked with animals professionally for 15 years and I have experience training and managing many different species including monkeys, gorillas, large exotic hoofstock, and, of course, dogs. At both the University of California, Davis, and the San Diego Zoo, I trained health and husbandry behaviors for exotic animal collections. After leaving the zoo, I developed and managed dog training classes and all training protocols for a chain of dog hotels in California. While there, I led a team of professional dog trainers and provided support for our animal care teams. For years I have helped pet owners navigate the ups and downs of pet ownership and understand all the joy, frustration, laughter, and tears that a life with animals can bring.
